Why don't all properties have an exact location?
CASAFARI may not be able to show a property's exact location when the source listing gives limited or vague location data, or when the property's cadastral reference is missing. In those cases, CASAFARI shows the closest possible estimate based on the information available.
How CASAFARI identifies a property’s location
CASAFARI combines the data available on listing websites to work out where a property is. It uses:
- Location field: used if the source explicitly provides it.
- Title: often contains area or neighbourhood details.
- Coordinates: used when available for pinpoint accuracy.
- Description: CASAFARI scans it for mentions of areas, landmarks or street names.
Why some properties lack precision
Some source websites do not include detailed location data, or they describe the location only vaguely. In these cases, CASAFARI may not be able to determine the exact address or coordinates.
An exact location can only be determined from the property’s cadastral reference. If that reference is missing, CASAFARI may not be able to display the exact location.
Searching when exact locations are missing
When you search, use filters such as city, district or neighbourhood. These filters narrow your results even when exact map markers are not shown.
