The most coveted areas are in the Vila de Gracia and La Salut, while Camp d’en Grassot, El Coll, Gracia Nova, and Vallcarca-Penitents are more affordable.

The heart of the neighborhood is the Plaça de la Vila de Gracia, which houses a large clock tower at the center. This is also where the town hall is located inside a beautiful blue modernist structure. There are many other squares in Gracia, which are where locals love to meet up for a drink or simply to sit outside in the sun. Gracia villas are particularly desirable in this area.

Another main attraction is Casa Vicens, one of famed architect Antoni Gaudí’s first projects, which recently opened to the public.

For a bit of green, you can visit another one of Gaudí’s projects – Parc Güell. This park features plenty of space to relax, or to go for a run or bike ride. You can also take the metro to the nearby Collserola Natural Park, which is the world’s biggest metropolitan park.

However, views of all the above-mentioned places raise the average Gracia property prices to €5,650 per sq. meter.

Gracia Property as the Right Choice for Second Home Buyers

If you think of “green” and think “golf”, there are many golf courses within a half-hour drive of Gracia, including in Sant Vicenc, Terrassa, and Sant Esteve Sesrovires. There are many beaches that are easy to reach as well, including the Barcelona city beaches (about 7 kilometers away) and beachside towns like Sitges (40 kilometers away).

Gracia itself features many art galleries and creative spaces. If you like contemporary art, head straight to Eat Meat Raw or Espai [b]. You can also visit the Galeria Miquel Alzueta, which sells both art and interior design items.

The district also has many dining options. You can find a mix of traditional tapas bars, quirky experimental restaurants, and quite a few international choices. The best-known restaurant in Gracia is Botafumeiro, one of the city’s best seafood restaurants, featured in the Michelin Guide. Other recommended restaurants include Lata-Berna de Juanjo, a vintage-inspired tapas joint that serves much of the food in cans (“latas” in Spanish). Roig-Robí has a lovely garden and a nice menu of Catalan classics, while Hofmann boasts a fusion of traditional and modern cooking techniques.

Living as a Local in Gracia

For nightlife, there are plenty of bars in the Gracia district, with many clustered around Plaça del Sol. You can also head to the clubs near Carrer Tuset, which are some of the city’s most exclusive.

The biggest event of the year in Gracia is the Festa Major de Gracia, the annual neighborhood festival. Neighborhood associations come together to decorate the streets with some truly impressive handmade adornments. In addition, there are concerts and activities well into the wee hours of the night.

If you’re looking for Gracia property, you’ll find plenty to appreciate in this small neighborhood with a big personality. With a unique style all of its own and lots to keep you busy, it’s hard to be bored as a resident of Gracia! Are you ready to find your perfect Gracia apartment?
