Why Eixample Dreta Property?

The Eixample Dreta property offerings appeal to both locals and visitors alike for their attractive combination of factors. The apartments available here are more modern than in the city’s older districts, yet still maintain charming architectural features. Many are also large and filled with natural light. The best properties of all overlook interior gardens or have outdoor patio space.

The district, also known as the Quadrat d’Or (the Golden Mile), though relatively small, has a few different sub-areas. The most famous of these is Passeig de Gràcia, a grand avenue stretching upwards from the historic city center. Here, you can enjoy viewing some of the city’s most spectacular architecture and shopping at high-end designer stores. Passeig de Gràcia apartments are some of the city’s most exclusive properties.

Because of the mix of residents, professionals, and visitors, the Eixample Dreta offers a range of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Places of interest in the district include Gaudí’s masterpieces of Casa Batllò and La Pedrera. There are also many more important modernist works, such as the Casa de les Punxes.

Two popular places for locals to meet up for a drink or meal are the semi-pedestrian streets Rambla de Catalunya and Enric Granados. Both feature an abundance of outdoor terraces. It’s worth the wait to enjoy a seat in the sunshine.

Sporty types can take advantage of the Eixample Dreta’s extensive bike paths. It’s also a few minutes’ walk away from the Ciutadella Park, an ideal spot for a jog or bike. If you’re more interested in museums, you’ll be spoilt for choice here. Start with the excellent Fundació Antoni Tàpies, or perhaps the Modernist Museum.

Foodies will also find themselves pleased with the district’s offerings. The glamorous food hall El Nacional is always an impressive choice, as is the modernist Reñé, which was formerly a confectionary factory. You can also find two of the city’s Michelin star restaurants here. Caelis, headed by French chef Romain Fornell, features an excellent tasting menu. Fran López heads Xerta, known for its seafood and local cuisine.

After dinner, why not head to a rooftop bar for a drink? The Hotel Condes and Hotel Royal both feature chic bars with top-notch views. Or, pay a visit to Boca Grande, a restaurant with a bar that offers the best of both worlds.

Throughout the year, the Eixample Dreta sees its share of traditional local holidays. One very special one is the annual neighborhood street party, the Festa Major. Each district in Barcelona has its own celebration. The Eixample Dreta’s is special because it has a modernist fair. People dress up in period outfits, drive around in vintage cars, and even go to an old-fashioned funfair.

Overall, there are few areas of Barcelona that pull of the blend of sophistication and livability that the Eixample Dreta boasts.
